My name is Ann Schaefer and I am a Florida based artisan who has been making specialty baskets for the past decade. After receiving training in the Nantucket basket style, I began making and selling baskets out of my Central Florida home. The popularity of these distinctive crafts led me to train in other basketmaking traditions and to start selling baskets at craft shows across the United States and Canada. When in Florida, I now also offer group and individual training classes for those interested in becoming basket-cases themselves.
